I'll give you a cheat.
If you get two spiders to move on top of each other. You can attack one and get past them without having to fight the other!
If thats not what you meant, sorry.
Besides, what do you want to test at this point? you can complete the whole tech tree in a matter of minutes. There really isn't much else you need to do at this point that isn't available from the start or related to some tech that needs unlocking.
Later on when there are like 60 rare magical items and 120 spells to be had, then cheating for testing purposes might become improtant. But you should be able to create stuff like custom maps by then I'd think. So you could just create a game where everybody starts with everything unlocked.
