This disscussion is interesting and all but one thing annoys me, Whiskey144 it is ONLY a disscussion, so what we are talking about the end of the world, so what you don't agree with some of us, so what its not the end of the world.. but anyway everybody has there own opinion and EVERYBODYS opinion matters, wheather you like it or not Everybody has there own opinion about the end and it all matters so if you are going to post here look at both said sides of the coin, as ZehDon put it, just respect other peoples opinions, we respect yours and nobody is trying to change your beliefs but remember it is a DISSCUSSION.
People only see what they are prepared to see.~ R.W.Emerson
Reality is for people who lack imagination
The problem with science is not science itself, but the scientist. It is impossible for someone to be completely free from bias. It is in our nature. Have you heard of the Experimenter Effect? If you expect something, you will find it. Double-blind experiments help reduce this though.
i heard about this, especially with quantim physics, in experiments here particles act differently when being observed then they do when not observed because of this effect, but this gives me an idea
and bear with me on this
Quantim physics has many theories within it
first of all the Copenhagen Interpretation
basicly its the experimenter effect but everything in quantim physics is based off of this
an example, So sometimes a particle acts like a particle and other times it acts like a wave. So which is it? According to Niels Bohr, who worked in Copenhagen when he presented what is now known as the Copenhagen interpretation of quantum theory, the particle is what you measure it to be. When it looks like a particle, it is a particle. When it looks like a wave, it is a wave. Furthermore, it is meaningless to ascribe any properties or even existence to anything that has not been measured21. Bohr is basically saying that nothing is real unless it is observed. But it has a flaw....
Schrödinger's Cat:
( in lamins terms)
hypotheically he put a cat in a box, he gave it a shock, there is no way to look inside the box, so is the cat dead as a result of the shock or is it alive, remember you can't observe the cat in any way. There is no way of knowing weather it is alive or not. This is the flaw with the above intereptaion what happens if you can't observe it???? He states that if you can't observe it it is everything at the same time therfore the cat is both alive and dead at the same exact time.
How is this possible you may ask.....
The many worlds theory:
also known as the branching universe theory
in this theory whenever a measurement takes place, the entire universe divides into the different possible outcomes all universes are identical except for the outcome. It is not possible for any of these worlds to interact with one another. it solves the problem of shrodingers cat, what was one cat is now two however ne is dead and the other alive.
In conclusion: My theorys about the end of the world and there correspondence
1: Experimental effect, our world is exactly what we make it though are actions and thoughts therefore the end of the world is what we make it. individualy so i am saying that 2012 is possible with our actions and thoughts
2. Shrodingers cat, in 2012 the world ends but it does not end....... includes
3. The Many Worlds Theory, as stated above in 2012 the world does end but also does not end. This could also include (theoraticly of course) a Heaven and a Hell. With this theory when the end comes the universe splits into the many outcomes of each events that lead to the End but also the outcomes of the end itself, therefore the outcomes of the events without the end or the good outcome of it can be considerd heaven, you still live your life and you make it what you want to be however the post apocolyptic outcome of it can be considerd your hell. But with this theory you have no choice to be in Heaven or Hell your in both, at the same time
What do you guys think
