There was a time in history when a country that made a declaration of war, is was taken seriously.

My crybaby way of expressing a little awe at the way in which our new president has (after claiming his predecessor was guilty of same) bypassed the checks and balances of constitutionally established government and arbitrarily taken steps to federalize our banking and manufactoring industries...oh yeah, not YOUR government, huh?

You wouldn't believe the ridiculous crap even the government of Canada has tried its hand at lately. Without getting into detail on the parliamentary system, the conservative government (currently and then the government in power) tried to write in a clause on a bill that would have denied public funding for parties not in power - essentially this would have destroyed all of its competition. Obviously this didn't make it very far. Then once the other parties attempted what amounts to a legalized restructuring of government, both sides started up with the blame game (seperatist was a buzz word for a few weeks, attempts to portray the proposed shift as illegal were made even though under parliamentary systems said proposal was legal). it was all in all a bloody mess and that's just one of the issues my nation seems to routinely and profoundly screw up.

Hahahaha if it were only politicians who exploited people that'd be great. Read up on some of the stuff the medical company Bayer has done (this includes knowingly selling products tainted with AIDS), or most companies and feel your faith in mankind plummet.

It's not that I am cynical; rather it is that I am critical. I see no reason to ignore the faults you can spot; being vocal about them is the first step in effecting changes to a system.

Well obviously in that case you need to wait for the right moment, and we do have extensive testimonials from NK defectors. But as I'm in a free nation, I can speak up all I please (and have). It's even worked a few times.
