There were some that you missed but have covered previously, however good thing you brought up centerpoint and the galaxy gun to the full picture.
quantum-crystalline armor makes it 'impervious to turbolaser blasts'.
imagine every sw ship made out of that, halo ships will have some problems there.
Galaxy Gun - space station that fires missiles with particle disintegrator warheads. Each has a hyperdrive that can go from the center of the Star Wars galaxy to its edge in a matter of hours. Missiles trigger a chain reaction on target planet that spreads like wildfire, explosively converting matter to energy.
Oh yeah i forgot that there was a hyperdrive attatched the missile, having a bunch of these installed in fortification, that would be hard to launch an invasion.
I am not sure if the Empire ever had control of Centerpoint, if they did it would be game over for Halo
Here is the history of Centerpoint, it can destroy stars anywhere in the galaxy, if the Empire actualy controled it, they would not need the deathstar except for destoying lots of shps and killing an occasional planet. It was destroyed 40 aby
Centerpoint Station was an ancient space station that was capable of moving entire planets with its tractor beams. It was created by the Celestials c. 1,000,000 BBY.[source?]
Characteristics
Centerpoint Station contained within its colossal bulk an extremely intricate collection of ultra-high energy systems. The best minds in the galaxy had been studying, mapping, and pondering the workings of this mechanical leviathan for ages, but there were still gaping holes in the understanding of its key processes.
What had actually been discovered was that the system was capable of generating huge amounts of nuclear, magnetic, electric, tractor beam, and hyperspace power for use in a type of "hyperspace tractor beam." Centerpoint Station was able to project this powerful tractor beam through a hyperspace path at any target. It was capable of 'gripping' an object as large as a star and then just as easily able to move the target object anywhere within its considerable operational range. The station could also harness this power for the actual destruction of stars and planets, collapsing their cores through massive gravitational fluxes.
The powerful hyperspace tractor beam arrays consisted of huge conelike structures within the station surrounded by six smaller cones. During the system's operation, this specifically designed geometric array acted as the source of the beam's power.
History
The Killiks have often claimed that they built Centerpoint, which they called "Qolaraloq", but this was typically seen as speculation and wishful thinking by most younger species. However, it must be said that the collective memory of the Killik species often originates from Joiners, and it is entirely possible that one of Centerpoint's designers joined the collective mind, therefore bringing the memory of the creation of Centerpoint into the fold of the hive-minded species.
Early history
In 1 ABY, the librarian at Theed library on Naboo asked a spacer a number of questions and Centerpoint Station was the subject of one of them.[1]
Eons before the establishment of the Republic, Centerpoint Station was used to move the planets of the Corellian system—Corellia, Selonia, Drall, Talus, and Tralus—to their current locations. The station sat at a lagrangian point between the two worlds of Talus and Tralus, and it generated power from their gravity wells.
With a width of 100 kilometers and length of 350 kilometers, it was larger than the first Death Star. From a distance, it appeared as a huge partially translucent sphere with two small cylindrical poles facing Talus and Tralus. The interior consisted of a hollowed area known as Hollowtown that was, at one point, inhabited, as well as the station's immensely powerful tractor beam arrays. The station was built before the invention of artificial gravity, so it rotated to simulate gravity.
In actuality, Hollowtown and the Glowpoint, an artificial sun-like spot at its center, was the power source for the station and it's mysterious one-time inhabitants and builders.
Later history
It was discovered, during the First Corellian Insurrection in 18 ABY, that the unique tractor beam system could be used as a weapon; a weapon capable of destroying entire stars, making it at least as powerful as a Sun Crusher. In this crisis, Thrackan Sal-Solo intended to use the station to force entire star systems into submission and restore the Imperial system. After a gripping battle that rocked the Corellian system and very nearly dragged the New Republic down, the "Starbuster Plot" was averted.
Hollowtown was incinerated by the Glowpoint when the Sacorrian Triad used the Station to supernova their first star. The few survivors returned to their planets.
A few years later during the Yuuzhan Vong War, Anakin Solo refused to use Centerpoint Station to destroy an entire Yuuzhan Vong fleet in the Battle of Fondor, so Thrackan Sal-Solo did instead; however, his aim was off, resulting in the destruction of not only half of the Yuuzhan Vong fleet but nearly three quarters of the allied Hapan fleet as well.
Second Galactic Civil War
In 40 ABY, Centerpoint Station was once again used as a weapon, but this time it was the Corellian people who took up arms within its massive walls. But their way would not be easy, as the station was controlled by a droid that Thrackan Sal-Solo had programmed to make itself believe it was Anakin Solo. Ben Skywalker was able to disable the station by making the droid, who then referred to itself as "Anakin Sal-Solo," realize the truth of its existence. It was damaged by Galactic Alliance forces at the end of the Blockade of Corellia, giving hope that this weapon would never again be used to obliterate neighboring worlds.
Despite the desire for peace, images of Centerpoint Station would be displayed on clothing items worn by Corellians to show their dedication to their homeworld's cause.
- "We failed to rap their heads — the arrival of the Corellian fleet prevented that — but we did take their giant blaster away."
- ―Cal Omas[src]
It took little time for Centerpoint to be again operational after being damaged by the Galactic Alliance. The weapon was fired under Five Worlds Prime Minister Sadras Koyan's initiative in order to wipe out Jacen Solo and the Galactic Alliance Second Fleet. Solo managed to survive the assault, although the Second Fleet was not to be so fortunate. He later returned to Centerpoint at the head of a task force to capture the station for use against the Confederation.
Seeing that the balance of power would tip greatly in favor of anyone who possessed its enormous destructive force, Grand Master Luke Skywalker and the New Jedi Order carried out a raid upon the station in order to finally destroy it. Jedi Master Kyp Durron led the raid, with Toval Seyah, a Galactic Alliance scientist and former spy who had worked on the station in the past. Seyah was able to modify Centerpoint's galactic data reserves in such a way that all coordinates in the galaxy were altered to become those of the station.
During the pitched battle between Confederation and Galactic Alliance forces, a technician named Rikel who had lost his wife on the galactic capital of Coruscant to the Galactic Alliance Guard was left in charge of the station's fire controls. He set the coordinates to target Coruscant itself. When he fired Centerpoint, the massive construction targeted itself. The resulting gravitic pulse detonated the station, wiping all traces of the enigmatic structure from the system, killing all on board, and destroying countless vessels in its blast radius.
Galaxy Gun
- "This weapon can destroy a city… a landmass… or even an entire planet anywhere in the galaxy."
- ―Emperor Palpatine[src]
The Galaxy Gun, or Galaxy Weapon, was a superweapon built by the Galactic Empire in 10 ABY. It was commissioned by the "reborn" Emperor Palpatine and designed by Umak Leth.
Characteristics
The Galaxy Gun was a 7,250 meter-long tube-shaped space station built above Byss. It was designed to serve as a superweapon capable of firing large, destructive projectiles equipped with particle disintegrator warheads capable of destroying an entire planet. It was also equipped with hyperdrive and sublight thrusters.
Each of these projectiles were capable of traveling through hyperspace with a speed equivalent to at least a Class .75 hyperdrive, allowing for quick traversal of interstellar distances and difficulty in detecting them until they struck. Upon exiting hyperspace and homing in on its target, the projectile's automated defenses would activate to deter enemy forces. Automated laser cannon turrets exchanged laser fire with warships while thick armor plating and powerful energy shields deflected even the most advanced ion cannons and turbolasers.
Having reached its target, powered by the missile's power core, the particle disintegrator warhead exploded, triggering immense nuclear cloud reactions that encircled the targeted world's surface within minutes. At the projectile's full power setting, the nuclear reactions were sustained until all matter had been converted into energy, effectively wiping the planet and its inhabitants off the face of the galaxy. However, there were low power settings allowing them to destroy selected cities and military bases while leaving the rest of the planet untouched.
Operational history
- "They will return to Pinnacle Base and boast to their friends… They have at best a few hours to celebrate before they all die! It is time to show the Rebel Alliance its day is ended! Prepare to fire the Galaxy Weapon!"
- ―Emperor Palpatine[src]
Like the Death Stars before it, the Galaxy Gun could have been used by the reborn Emperor Palpatine to rule with a Tarkin Doctrine-like policy of fear. To ward off New Republic attacks, the Galaxy Gun was constructed and maintained over the orbit of Byss which was surrounded by the massed Imperial fleet.
In retaliation for the New Republic attack on his citadel and the escape of the surviving Rebels into hyperspace along with a group of smugglers, Palpatine ordered the launch of the first projectile against the New Republic base on Pinnacle Moon.
Within hours, Pinnacle Moon had been wiped off the face of the galaxy. However, due to the presence of spies in Byss itself, the New Republic forces along with some of the native Ixlls managed to escape the doomed moon in a fleet of transports.
In response, New Republic commando and sabotage teams attacked the Galaxy Gun but were annihilated by the massed Imperial fleet. The Emperor continued to launch projectiles, destroying entire unruly worlds and nearly crippling the New Republic. As a result of this terrifying tactic, the Empire regained key territories in the Inner and Outer Rims in a relatively short time. Other known targets included Nespis VIII's space city, where even the New Republic's Kuat V-200 ion cannon were unable to penetrate the shielding of the projectiles, as well as the New Republic troopship Pelagia under the command of Captain Tekba, which was carrying a hundred thousand troops at the time of its destruction.
The Galaxy Gun would be destroyed in 11 ABY along with Byss and much of the massed Imperial fleet. With the Emperor's death at Onderon, the famed astromech droid R2-D2 took control of the immense Eclipse-class Star Dreadnaught Eclipse II's computer banks and set the ship on a collision course with the Galaxy Gun.
The resulting explosion destroyed both superweapons. However, one last projectile exited the firing tube just before its destruction. The unguided missile was pulled in by Byss's gravitational field and drifted toward it. The missile then destroyed Byss, crushing the majority of the reborn Emperor's forces and loyal officers.
Legacy
- "At the time, the Galaxy Gun was the most destructive weapon we'd ever seen. But I wish we had it now. We could blast those Yuuzhan Vong worldships right out of the sky."
- ―Luke Skywalker[src]

Nearly fifteen years later during the Yuuzhan Vong War, Luke Skywalker would almost regret the destruction of the Galaxy Gun, as it could have helped the New Republic wipe out hundreds of Yuuzhan Vong Koros-strohna worldships.
