The self regeneration on borg ships is not supposed to be auto cast as default (i left the option in, to make it auto cast if you wanted)

and you arnt supposed to used it when in combat although you can, your just stupid if you do (espc if you read the description of the ability "shuts down all weapons and engine power"

Yup Great work Loki. FYI the canonical borg weakness is from both q who, and best of both worlds where if borg regen they simply sit still and regenerate. They dont fire weapon or move.. They simply "sleep".

I gotta say though that a few things weren't that bad in armada. I really liked their dmg model (though it only makes sense for smaller engagement than you would have in sins) and the missions/ story were ok. of course, ship balance and race diversity were horrible. it was an enjoyable game for me. never liked part II though, too fast, too much for its own good.

borg having sleep as weakness sounds a bit like hypnosis 'listen to my voice, relax, look straight into my eyes. you are tired, you must regenerate ...,'. but yeah, canon ...  a good way anyhow. anti-borg cyber war ftw!

Armada was fairly amusing to play as far as a brain dead rts goes.  It wasn't even remotely canon though.  A Borg cube can eat the Enterprise E for lunch without breaking a sweat, to only be about twice as powerful was just silly.  For fun, it's one of the better Star Trek games out there, for accuracy it's the worst.

I always felt like the SuperCubes were far more acurate.

Just to throw this out there,    you already have several ships that were created as none cannon  for Armada 2.. spesificaly for the rommies. The Rommie ship in the back of this screenshot   was  an armada 2 design..   Personaly they had a few good designs.. the Raptor  seems to be a fairly solid one imo  the one in this shot  i figured was one of the more crap designs they had put into the game..

Altho i am looking forward to this mod  big time, the ship combat motion, the whole concep  is well setup and definatly will be a solid mod

What you've got there is the FASA Winged Defender from the Star Trek Combat Simulator board game from the '80s.  You can also see the FASA created D-10 Klingon heavy cruiser in the current SoA mod.  A few of the ships from that game showed up in various PC and video games over the years.  The Orion Wanderer class blockade runner not only showed up in a couple of games, most recently in Star Trek: Conquest on the PS2 (which also had the Winged Defender in there as the Romulan Scout), and even made it in as background material in TNG on a few computer screens!

Yup the mod is broke now. I take it we know it won't work or be easily modifiable to work already? Talk about frustrating! Sorry guys!

Yeah I hope Startrek mod will include (or eventually) Sins Plus....
