Point Defense?

Do Cap ships (Or any other ships) have Point Defense?

Hey all,

   Quick Question, Do Cap ships (Or any other ships / Starbases) have Point Defense?  I know that Starbases and Turrents can be upgraded with Flak but can Flak (or anything else) shoot down incomming missles?

So when fighting a TEC player who wants my Cap ship / Starbase dead my only defense is enough SC to kill a large enough % of his LRMs that by the time he gets into range he can't kill them with 2 or 3 voleys?

well point defenece would be pointless because it waould only work on tec/vasari opponents

having it would only cause everyone to switch to playing advent

if you want to not have to worry about LRMs then just tech up sheilds/hull/armour

btw illlumys have a higher damage potential than tec LRMs because they can attack up to 3 individual targets and can shadow clone themselves

I think it would be an interesting strength to add to the Advent. Every race has strengths and weaknesses. I would rather have specific boosts than the different races becoming bland and simply being different avatars for ships.
