How I'll Support Stardock and Ironclad.

Hi there, I used to play Sins fairly regularly a few months ago but I stopped playing because I got busy and a bunch of games for the XBox 360 came out. However, I really appreciated Stardock-Ironclad's support of this game and how they really trusted their customers by doing away with DRM. So even though I have no time to play this game and there are a ton of good games coming out for the 360 in March, I'm going to purchase Entrenchment for the sole purpose of supporting companies that do good things for their customers. I'd like these companies to know that their attitudes have created a loyal supporter of any game they put out just based on their customer service. Thank you.

I gladly bought collector's edition SINs at the full price of $44 thru impulse when I could have bought it for $19.99 at best buy to support Stardock.

Everyone should buy Entrenchment but its still only $10 and won't help them much. Do I what I did, go out and make 2 of your friends who play PC RTS games buy SINs for the full price of $44 from Stardock Impulse, not retail (Stardock/Ironclad gets more $ that way vs. $19.99 at best buy)

Now get those 2 friends to find 2 more friend to buy SINs again for the full $44 price from impulse and mention how they are doing a good deed by supporting Stardock. Repeat this process with those new friend's of friend's as much as possible and hopefully you create a wave of people puchasing SINs at the full price thru impulse. Rinse and repeat for GalCiv 2 Utimate Bundle for the full price from the impulse site. If anyone played Civ4 tell them GalCiv2 is way way better, and you've been ripped off by fraxis.

Also during any Birthday or Holiday buy them a "Retail" Version of Stardock/Ironclad products wrapped and rdy.

Let's all help Ironclad/Stardock to become more successful so Ironclad makes an stand-alone expansion after the three micro ones adding 2 brand NEW factions! and hopefully make this game mainstream in the RTS community. Ironclad owns it to SINs to milk as much money out of the brand as much as possible!

When I was first introduced to Sins it was via a friends copy installed on my machine. Myself and two of my friends followed suite and we all did local lan games on the unpatched version of the game almost a year ago and loved it so much two weeks later we all bought the collectors edition at full price from Stardock, shipped box and all.

I guess my support for Stardock and Ironclad takes the form of encouraging other people to get the game, releasing custom Sins maps, and by my adding to the online multiplayer player counts.

As for Entrenchment, I'll get it if it proves to be online multiplayer-worthy and if the other people I game with also get it and prefer to play it over the current game. From my perspective as an online player, Entrenchment is mostly intended for single players and the game is fine the way it is now. I'd much prefer if development effort went in to improving the online multiplayer aspects of the game, such as fixing the lack of custom map auto-download and improving the user interface. However, of course, I do understand the economic reality of the situation and if I were Ironclad and Stardock I'd also try to sell to the single player crowd.

I had dl a torrent of sins ,liked itso much that I immediatly bought it on impulse which was the only way I could get it in austrailia on feb08, kept looking for retail in local stores, bought it for $69.95 at eb then pre-ordered entrenchment TWICE, and also managed to get some friends to BUY at retail as they don't have credit cards, and also suggesting sins to my customers that like any stragety games

I hope Ironclad makes a lot of money out of Sins, enough at least to make a Sins of a Solar Empire 2 or some other strategy game. I'm very impressed with Sins of a Solar Empire, and at the same time the game is obviously not all it could have been with a larger team and budget. I can't wait to see what Ironclad can do given a lot more $$$. Next time, give us a campaign, flesh out your backstory, make the voice acting more convincing, and try to get the balance bewteen units a bit closer to what it should be.

I'm not sure I'll buy Entrenchment right away (I never buy games soon after their release, unless it's Valve or Blizzard) but at some point, definitely.

They've already said that they started working on their next game. Whether or not it's Sins 2 remains to be seen, but there is one in the works besides the two other micro-expansions

Bought Sins the week it came out, pre-ordered Entrenchment, have convinced 7 of my buddies and counting to get the game. I like to think of myself as an Ironclad Temple of Communion. ; )

Heck I'm a tool. To support Stardock I bought The GalCiv 2 bundle at the beginning of the month even though I suspected the price would drop in two weeks with the release of the Ultimate Edition. My thanks for getting Sins for only $30 buck.

If Entrenchment fixes stuff such as the broken replays, etc., that's great. But--no one should have to go purchase an expansion in order for the standard game to work properly (replays) and/or to be patched to use more than one CPU core.

You are being somewhat harsh, Multi core support is hard to do... There is no such thing as a magical patch to allow for it afaik

I bought the editor's edition digital download+box and I am waiting for it to arrive... can anybody by any chance tell me how long it ussually takes? BTW I live in Puerto Rico.

P.s. Huzzah for Ironclad and Stardock! Huzzah! I bow in gratitude.
