Nothing you can do about mines atm, they're overpowered, only thing you can do is avoid them entirely, throw scout ships into them over and over, or the TEC colonizing capital ship's final ability can render your own ships invulnerable (But also unable to fire)

I found a good  way to clear mines and save ships but it can take a while. What you do is get a scout and have some bombers or fighters. Move the scout close to some mines so the bombers/fighters can clear them. 

 3 things to remember:

1: if your scout gets to close to an exploding mine it willl be destroyed.

2:you will know when the mine is able to be attacked when the hull is shown and its not phased out (obviously)

3: dont worry about your bombers/fighters b/c they cant set off the mines (from my experiance at least)

Thanks everyone for your replys. I do hope they re-think the mines. I had the same problem as emulsifier001. Machine ended up running so slowly I had to reboot. Stardock please fix this!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Other than that the game is still awesome.

thats an awsome idea and if that doenst work (like it is to easy to get rid of mines) then a possible planet upgrade that would send a way out that destroys all mines in the grav. well but at least we can trust that stardock will do something

I am able to play for about 10-15 minutes and the game crashes.

Anyone else having this problem too?

I have completely un-installed the game and deleted all files and re-installed.  Still crashes..

Me too, my friend!

I did the same like you, a complete new installation. But 2 minutes after i load my last saved game, it will always crashing!

I changed it in the Options menu, eg. non maskable, without any changes in behaviour.

I'm so frustrated!

The expansion itself rocks, but always always crashing....!

I havent been able to install Entrenchment yet, so I havent been able to test this, but I was wondering what the Kostura Cannon did to mines?
