Make a list of your strategy (RTS, 4X, etc) experience here.

Command and Conquer: Tiberium Dawn (Gold Edition)
Command and Conquer: Red Alert/Counterstrike/Aftermath (cruisers and Tanya!) (Modem play until 4am!)
Starcraft/Starcraft: Brood War (Didn't played it like the previous ones because... well... I can cheat and got lazy)
KKnD (Donwloaded the demo, it was fun.)
Age of Empires with Roman Expansion?(I liked it but still, with the cheats, I cheat and got bored. Ahehehe)
Dune 2000 (Played breifly because my computer sucked)
Serf/Settlers(Yes... it's the DOS version. I also liked it because it's kinda fresh from me. Not too militarisitc)
Homeworld (Demo Version. The graphics and the music... OMG and the Z-axis! and Zoom!)
Homeworld: Cataclysm (same reason as above)
Space Empires III (My first 4x)
Civilization II: Test of Time (Yey immunity chip!)
Populous III (I liked it because I feel like I'm a god)
Command and Conquer: Tiberium Sun/Firestorm (I don't like building off 2 items just to get one defensive structure. I think it's a waste of time)
Submarine Titans (Just liked the ai, made me watch and uninstalled)
Command and Conquer: Red Alert 2/Yuri's Revenge (Haha! Yuri...)
Rise of Nations (RTS and Civ! Loved it but slow on my computer. Aww...)
Majesty (Nice twist. You can't control your units. I really like this game.)
Civilization 3 (Because I like being a Roman)
Homeworld 2 (Played it for a brief time because the campaign is really hard, about 3 months. Didn't like the soundtrack)
Command and Conquer: Generals/Zero Hour (look the at the raptors fly! Really liked the plane trail graphics)
Warcraft III/Frozen Throne (I tried not to cheat and really liked it. Really liked the Hero addition to the units)
Command and Conquer: Tiberium Wars/Wrath of Kane (Not as fun as they were supposed to be)
Sins of a Solar Empire (3D space RTS with 4X... you've got to love it! It's homeworld, command and craft and civ)

i was a poor child so i onleyed a few RTS games (

but here is my list, some of wich i "Barowed" from friends.

Army men RTS press Jkey "what you have just done can never be taken back" so many good quotes from that game
Supreme commander
Battle for middle earth(all of them)
Sins of a solar empire
Dawn of war 40K(all of them, "only one one of them barrowed the rest"
World in Conflict
Company of heros

True, but it's still a strategy game. (One that I never did well on.)

I'm relatively new to strategy games, so I don't have many (I included simulations, because as Kitkun said, they're by definition strategy games).

Listed in no particular order:

1. StarTopia
2. SimCity 4
3. O.R.B. (a lot like Homeworld, except glitchy, buggy, horrendously unpopular, and relatively bland compared to other RTSs, but still good fun)
4. Command and Conquer 3: Tiberium Wars (not very good)
5. Command and Conquer 3: Kane's Wrath (even worse)
6. Sins of a Solar Empire
7. Supreme Commander (never really liked this game, but still played it quite a bit)
8. Command and Conquer: Tiberian Dawn
9. Machines at War
10. DEFCON (I never was good at it though)
11. Darwinia (very unique strategy game)
