Before I go on I have not tried the v1.03 patch yet because i've read in this forum that it didn't help thing much and am waiting for better news before i move on from v1.02.
Moving On!
Ok, so i like making maps within SoaSE to complete acheivements and to see how "interesting" i can make the galaxy look

But I noticed something about the wormholes that you can put in there that I found to be irritating at best. I know that every map made inside SoaSE is randomly generated each time, but i don't think "wormhole lanes" should be random. If i put 1 wormhole in a star system and 1 in another, then i think that they should be connected between the two stars and have absolutely no chance to be interconnected in one star. Another way of saying this would be, that if there is a chance that a wormhole can be connected to another star, then it should be. THEN, if there are more wormhole lanes to be made then they are random.
Another idea that stems off of other posts i've read, is to make the jumping completely random with no pre-set destination to the wormhole you end up at. To add to this idea, there could be 1 more research option after 'wormhole use' to be able to actually choose which wormhole you want to go to once discovered.
I also like the ideas where the wormhole is unstable and has a chance to lose or damage your units or is unusable after use for a period of time. etc.
Give the wormholes a sense of excitement man! Right now unless you use the stand-alone map editor and make them worth using, after you use the wormhole and find out where it goes... that's it. Maybe you can exploit it's use and maybe you can't. In my experience, more can't than can. There is no fun to it, and i've come to the point where I just don't bother with them any more.
Let me know if any of this sounds good to any of you.
