Well, as you can see by now....the news media will not shut up about the war in Iraq. Hardly anything really important is happening there right now...yet they spend half of their time covering minor tragedies and blow them up to gigantic proportions.(Don't get me wrong, soldiers dying is still a horrible thing) Besides that they constanly report, murders, robberies, abuse, and anything that has a negative impact on society....why, you ask?...if you haven't figured it out....RATINGS....those heartless assholes only care about getting paid and therefore report things that pull on people's heartstrings so that the only good thing you MAY be able to look forward to is a sunny day!(I don't know about the rest of you...but we haven't had an abundance of those lately) Now call me crazy, but why would any decent person want to depress thousands of people everyday...morning, noon, and night? Do the network executives get off on that or something?....I mean throw in a few good stories...like maybe someone actually survived a shooting, crash, accident....etc. or some decent soul is doing something positive for the community...usually you MIGHT get one of those a week. Also, as mentioned somewhere on this site before....the news program doesn't cover what it is supposed to, they spend so much time telling everyone what will be on later, covering bad events, and a bit of weather and that's it....One thing that really irritates me about them is they always tell you something COULD be harmful for you and tell you to wait until 11:00 at night....
Example: Newscast at 5:00PM
"One of the most popular foods that you may be eating right now, could give you incurable cancer. What it is and details at 11:00PM"
You see how they always lure you back....with promises of depressing things....
I ask one question to anyone in the news media....Why do you play on people's emotions?....is it ratings, money, or some sick sexual pleasure that you get out of it?
Well, that's all for now,
