No additional abilities, no further statistic increase to weapons or batteries, etc. etc. - just hits.
A 50th (!) level ship might only have a total of maybe 200 hit points greater than that of a 10th level vessel of the same type.
Just a way to reward players over a very long haul contest, without being unfair/imbalancing.
