There have been a few reports from people who've found that Sins doesn't exit gracefully for them, so while we work to track down and correct this issue, Deepblade has written up a workaround.
There are essentially two ways to kill the Sins process in Windows:
1) On your Desktop, hit Ctrl+Shift+Esc to bring up the Windows Task Manager. Click on Processes and select Sins of a Solar Empire.exe. Then click the End Process button.
2) If you'd like to make this a bit easier, you can create a Windows batch file that you can run by double-clicking the shortcut on your Desktop.
- Create a new text document using Notepad.
- In the file, insert the text: taskkill /f /im Sins of a Solar Empire.exe
- Save the file as sins.bat
Now you can just double-click the bat file to end the Sins process should it remain in memory after quitting the game.
If you do find that Sins doesn't remove itself from your process list after quitting the game (and it make take a few seconds to happen), please be sure to let us know your system specs along with any other programs you had running at the time.
