I am curious. Was it dietary that most native americans could not grow a beard? I have always been curious about that. But as that is greek to me (genetics and all), I have never heard why. |

It just wasn't nearly as heavy as European's and those who did have any growth would usually shave it off as it was considered an undesirable aberration.
